Hierarchy Exercises
The Hierarchy exercises were meant to be written with a Garamond font in order to complete this project. Hierarchy is the control of visual information in an arrangement or presentation to imply importance. The first diagram shows the contrasting of weight. Contrasting weight is the process of a graphic element is related to both its size and its density. Contrasting scale is shown on the second diagram. Contrasting scale is is all about comparing varied size relationships. Scale refers to the relative size of a design element in comparison to another element. The third diagram shows the hierarchy of contrasting color. Contrasting color is the use of color as the only way to convey meaning. The fourth diagram shows the hierarchy of contrasting alignment. Contrasting alignment refers to lining up text or graphics on a page. The fifth diagram shows the hierarchy of contrasting case. Contrasting case is to differentiate the letters from capital letters and lowercase letters. The last diagram shows the hierarchy of contrasting space. Contrasting space means to give space to most of the use of the words in the diagram.
